GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE





In order to be able to obtain a divorce in the State Of New York, you need to have a "legal" reason (also called a Ground For Divorce) for the Court to accept.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS





In order to be able to obtain a divorce in the State Of New York, you or your spouse must be a current NEW YORK STATE resident.

CHILD SUPPORT





If you have a CHILD (or Children) in your divorce under the age of 21 years old, per NYS law, Child Support is mandatory to "determine and incorporate" in the divorce papers - that's it.
